Class 3 - working with artist, Jojo Hayfron
Following their workshop in school, Class 3 are very excited to see how Jojo has used their fantastic ideas in his Tulip design. We have watched his podcast to find out!
'In this episode of the Tulips of Ashton series on the Epic Vision Podcast, I take you behind the scenes of painting my 6ft tulip sculpture for the upcoming Ashton Tulip Trail. Before starting the painting process, I visited St James Primary School in Ashton-under-Lyne, where Year 3 pupils helped generate ideas for the design. Their drawings, patterns and creative ideas became part of the inspiration behind the final artwork. In this video, I walk through the process of turning those ideas into the finished tulip — from early sketches to painting the sculpture itself. Public art projects like this are special because they bring the community into the creative process, and it was amazing to see how the pupils’ imagination influenced the final design. Follow the series to see what happens next — including the installation of the tulips across Ashton town centre.'
