Stained Glass Window

In RE Week, Class 6 worked really hard to create another stained glass window to add to our fabulous collection.

Class 6 designed the window to reflect the major world religions - many of which are represented in our school community.

We have designed and made two stained glass windows.

We wanted the window to be linked to the sea and fish because James was a fisherman.

First we drew the creatures on paper and cut them out. Then we had to trace them onto the perspex sheet with the black outline paint. When the black outline was dry we painted the creatures using special glass paint. Finally we coloured in the sea for the background.

The design had to be done in reverse, which was really difficult when it came to the writing!

We are proud of our window, what do you think?
