Children are very precious and it is important, therefore, that your child derives maximum benefit from all that St. James’ has to offer and enjoys learning in a relaxed but purposeful atmosphere.

At St. James we believe that it is every child’s right to be educated in a secure, caring and fair-minded environment. We seek to develop the whole person whilst encouraging our children to acquire skills, knowledge, understanding and positive attitudes within a supportive, happy and stimulating school. We believe that it is the responsibility of everyone connected with our school community to help us achieve this.

As a primary school, we are sure that your child can only benefit from the uninterrupted progress and continuity, which we can provide throughout the primary years. We do recognise that during this time you will rightly expect much from St. James’ Primary School, not least that your child is educated thoroughly and encouraged to achieve high standards in work and behaviour.
